What to Expect on Your Journey

  • Day 1: Arrival & Evening Game Drive. Depart Nairobi and descend the Great Rift Valley, arriving in time for a sunset game drive in your private 4×4 Land Cruiser.

  • Day 2: Full Day Exploration. We head deep into the reserve to track leopards, cheetahs, and the vast herds of elephants. This is the heart of your Masai Mara lodge safari experience.

  • Day 3: Sunrise Drive & Return. A final early morning game drive—the best time to see predators active—before returning to Nairobi.

By focusing on quality over quantity, we ensure every moment in the Mara is impactful. Our local guides possess deep knowledge of animal behavior, ensuring you aren’t just driving, but truly discovering the secrets of the African bush.

Day 2: Maasai mara game reserve

A full day (Morning and afternoon game if you opt to) is set aside today for game viewing in Kenya’s finest wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. Our morning and afternoon (full day) game drives take us in search of Africa’s Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange-tinged sunsets that make for spectacular photos. Remember, many games are coming your way when you are in the park leaving you with an option of counting the blessings that nature holds for you as you view them in their natural habitat.

The Mara Reserve covers 1,510km² of incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodlands, following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in southwest Kenya. One glimpse is enough to explain its appeal; it is typical open savannah, with a mass of amazing wildlife. Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara Park you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, the wildebeest migration. Elephants, buffalos, zebras, and hippos are also found in great numbers.

It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but reasonably common. The ultimate action here is without a doubt the annual wildebeest exodus, the Great Migration when millions of these grazers move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October for the new life circle to begin after a life-threatening move across the strong jaws and sharp canines of East Africa crocodile found within the mara river and talek river.

Hot-air balloon trips are an entirely outstanding way of seeing the savannah plains teeming with wildlife. These Masai Mara balloon trips can be arranged at an extra cost of 450 us dollars per person.
