Cancellation and Payment Policy

Once your reservations have been confirmed, a deposit of 20-30% of the total invoice is required to secure them in good time.
The remaining balance is due 20-30 days before your arrival in Kenya / Tanzania (Africa) or the start of your safari. If you book and confirm your reservation within 45 days of your arrival date, full payment is due immediately.
Payments will be made via bank wire transfer only to Back Of Africa Adventure.
Cancellations must be made in writing and take effect the day they are received by Back Of Africa Adventure limited
Any safari deposit paid will be refunded less the cost of hotel cancellation fees and administrative costs, as detailed below.

Cancellation and Payment Policy

No show….     Percentage forfeited of tour price

For more than 40 days   –  5% of the tour cost
14-40 days          –         20% of the tour cost
6-14 days                –   30% of the tour cost
Less than 5 days and no show  –   no refunds

IMPORTANT: POSTPONEMENT/CANCELLATION TERMS FOR COVID-19 PANDEMIC SAFARI BOOKING:

All bookings that have been confirmed and secured with a deposit and are affected by official COVID-19 related travel bans/restrictions will be eligible for the free postponement of travel arrangements for travel within two years (24 months) of the original date. Back Of Adventure Limited will hold credit for the full amount of their booking until they reconfirm.

The following conditions apply to safari booking postponement:

Changes to existing reservations must be communicated to Back Of Africa Adventure ltd at least 14 days prior to the safari’s start date.
Bookings will be rebooked for the same period/season of the year that they were previously booked for (for Example High, Low & Peak seasons)
In the event of a season/period rebooking change, the price difference between the respective seasons will be added/reduced.
Accommodation shall be provided in the originally confirmed accommodations or a superior version in cases of safari rebooking.
Due to the global scope of the COVID-19 pandemic, our guest refunds (specific to COVID-19 cases) will be made within 150 days of receipt of the safari cancellation. (Please note that this can however be reviewed as the situation unfolds)

Terms and Conditions of Reservation

Passports and visas
You must ensure that your passport and travel documents are in good order, as well as that you have obtained all necessary visas for your trip. We will gladly make recommendations if you require assistance in this matter.

International and domestic flight reservations
It is the responsibility of the traveler to re-confirm flight reservations. Because tour arrangements may be made to connect with international and domestic flights, you must keep us up to date on your flight times and numbers.

Travel Insurance
It is a condition of booking one of our tours that the traveler is adequately insured for the full duration of the tour in respect of illness, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items, cancellation, and curtailment. The choice of the insurer is the sole discretion of the client.

Changes to confirmed arrangements
Back of Africa Adventure Limited offers customized land and/or air service packages to its clients through a network of suppliers. The cost of your travel arrangements is subject to changes and surcharges that are beyond our control and may occur as a result of governmental action, currency exchange rate fluctuations, and supplier price increases.
While Back Of Africa Adventure Limited will make every effort to provide all tours as scheduled, reasonable changes to the itinerary may be made without notice if our experienced staff deems it necessary or expedient.

Responsibility
Back Of Africa Adventure Limited only serves as a liaison for all passengers in relation to services provided by underlying operators such as hotels, lodges, restaurants, road transport providers, professional guides, air charter services, boating, bushwalking, trekking, and climbing activities.
As a result, all Back Of Africa Adventure bookings is subject to the liability limitations imposed by the trip’s underlying operators.
The payment of a deposit indicates the acceptance of these booking conditions by the passenger/client.
