Today your 7 days Kenya safari commences by a pick up from Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International airport if your flight lands in Kenya very early and you opt not to have a night in Nairobi. If you already booked a hotel in Nairobi then pick up will be as early as 07:00 am in the morning followed by a transfer to Amboseli national pack which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape and open plains. You will arrive with more game drive proceeding to your lodge /or tented camp for check inn and for hot lunch and a short rest. Afternoon game drive in the park will follow until closing time in the evening at around 18: 30 hrs local time. Dinner and overnight at your preferred accommodation choice listed hereinbelow.

  2. Day 2: Amboseli National park

Wake up early for a pre-breakfast game drive during this time you are likely to see a clear view of the peak of Mt Kilimanjaro Return to your camp for breakfast thereafter proceed for another game drive in search of the big five and other plains game like wild beasts giraffe and the antelopes search also for hippos mostly alongside the semi-permanent lakes and swamps like longinya the landscape is mostly dominated by open plains extensive stands of yellow bucked acacia woodland lava strewn thorny bush country and deep valley mountains like namanga lameboti and Elemborashe Birdlife is also prominent like Masai ostrich the aquatic little grapes long-tailed cormorants African data pelicans goliath purple heroin among others return for your lunch and a break to your camp.

  3. Day 3: Amboseli national park to Lake Nakuru national park

After an early breakfast followed by a departure from Amboseli National park for Lake Nakuru national park via Nairobi for an early lunch. The safari shall then continue to Lake Nakuru National park via The Great Rift Valley; a brief stop here for historical lectures and photography thereafter proceed to Lake Nakuru via Naivasha for an hour boat ride. I recommend that you relax within the hotel in lake Nakuru this evening and proceed for a game viewing in Lake Nakuru National park on Day 4 as this will give you much time in Lake Nakuru when you have more energy. This is so because Lake Nakuru National park does not accept re-entry to the park for all the guests who opt for accommodation outside the park, for example, Lake Nakuru Chester Hotel.

If your budget could allow you to upgrade to the lodge accommodation which is located inside the Lake Nakuru National park then I highly recommend as this will give you a chance to do much game viewing upon arrival from Amboseli and also on day 4 (four) before checking out for Maasai mara game reserve with us here at Back Of Africa Adventure.
Meal plan: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

    • Main destination: Lake Nakuru National Park

  4. Day 4: Lake Nakuru national park to Maasai mara game reserve

I recommend early breakfast followed by a 4 hours game viewing in this park before setting off for Masai Mara Game reserve, hot lunch served en route. On arrival at the Destiny eco-camp, Mara or you’re preferred upgraded accommodation such as Ashnil Mara lodge (please do let us know if you opt for mid-range accommodations instead of budget camping accommodation for a different quote), relax and after the sun has cool down proceed for a game drive in search for black manned lions, elephants, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, and other plains game. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Meal plan: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

  5. Day 5 & 6: Maasai mara game reserve

A full day set aside today for game viewing in Kenya’s finest wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve.
Our morning and afternoon (full-day) game drives take us in search of Africa’s Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange-tinged sunsets that make for spectacular photos. Much game is coming at your doorstep when you in the park leaving you with the only option of counting your blessings that nature holds for you as you view them in their natural habitat.

The Mara Reserve covers 1510km² of incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodlands, following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in southwest Kenya. One glimpse is enough to explain its appeal; it is typical open savannah, with a mass of amazing wildlife.

Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara Park you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffalos, zebras, and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but reasonably common.

The ultimate action here is without a doubt the annual wildebeest exodus, the Great Migration, in July and August when millions of these grazers move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October for the new life circle to begin after a life-threatening move across the strong jaws of East Africa crocodile found within the mara river and talek river.  Despite the wildebeest movement in the month of July, Aug, and October, Maasai mara is well known for its wide range of wildlife (flora and fauna) all year-round.

    • Main destination: Masai Mara National Reserve
    • Accommodation: Mara sidai Camp- it is a self-contained permanently set up tent
    • Meals & drinks: Breakfast, Lunch & dinner Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
  6. Day 7: Nairobi end of a safari

Early morning sunrise in the savannah game viewing followed by late breakfast thereafter leisurely depart Masai Mara for Nairobi where safari will end.
